Created in 2013, Water IQ International B.V. is active in the Water treatment sector. The company, managed by Freddy Dekkers, has 10 employees and is based in Eindhoven.

Mr. Freddy Dekkers, managing director, has overall 21 years of professional experience in the malt production and brewing sector. Previously, he was managing director at Holland Malt company.

The company’s main activities are:

• The production, installaton and maintenance of water treatment facilities for malting companies. The Optisteep technology treats wastewater efficiently, reduces the water use for production while increasing the yield and improving the malt quality.

• The production, installation, and maintenance of a system to produce high quality irrigation water from rainwater, surface water and / or drainage water. The system is effective in the removal of undesirable bacteria, fungi, viruses and nematodes. Organic substances that have a positive effect on the quality of the irrigation water are retained after treatment.

The company works with Boortmalt B. V. and many greenhouses in the horticulture sector.

Project Description

The company requests 816.000 € with 3 months of deferred repayment to finance recruitment of new staff and stocks of semi-finished products. This project will be realised by the end of the year.

This project is a medium-term loan with a capital amortisation deferment and as such presents a different method of capital repayment than standard projects. The first 3 months, the lenders will only receive interest; the following 33 months, the lenders will receive interest and principal amortization. This principal repayment profile matches the borrower’s financing needs while allowing lenders to earn a higher amount of interest.

The amount offered on the platform is limited to 399840€, which is in line with the regulatory limits.
